It is not just the title of a video installation, but a manifesto of rebellion against the oppressive power and corruption tearing the Agrigento area apart. Wielding a weapon, the artist challenges indifference and resignation by firing ten shots at a stack of local newspapers. The bullets deform words, subvert the role of information and arrange themselves to form an ironic and disturbing smile. A smile born of violence, an oxymoron that shakes consciences and invites reflection. The work is a punch in the stomach, a warning not to look away from the plagues that plague society.

IT| Nel cuore della Sicilia, dove l'ombra della mafia ancora pesa come un macigno, risuona un grido di denuncia e si accende una scintilla di speranza: "La mafia si può vincere". Non è solo il titolo di un'installazione video, ma un manifesto di ribellione contro il potere oppressivo e la corruzione che dilaniano il territorio Agrigentino. L'artista, impugnando un'arma, sfida l'indifferenza e la rassegnazione, sparando dieci colpi su una pila di quotidiani locali. I proiettili deformano le parole, sovvertono il ruolo dell'informazione e si dispongono a formare uno smile ironico e disturbante.
